Marrakech has become so fashionable that property prices have soared and so great is the demand for bricks and mortar that in the most popular areas some properties bear signs saying 'this property is not for sale'. In some cases only the 'rich' can entertain a purchase, so the recent introduction of El Oasis de Marrakech to the property market is a welcome one as it is reassuringly at the 'affordable' end of the spectrum.

Morocco is now part of the EU 'Open Skies' regime thus opening the floodgates for the budget carriers. Passengers can choose between Ryan Air, Thomson Fly, EasyJet and Air Maroc's low-cost subsidiary, Atlas Blue, who cover the major UK Airports between them into Marrakech, Fez, Agadir and Casablanca. Morocco can also be accessed by water from the Spanish coastline on either high-speed catamarans or slightly more leisurely ferry crossings and a new 39km tunnel route under the water between Spain and Tangier should begin work shortly. Morocco shares the same time zone as the UK.

Morocco has seen great interest, in particular from northern Europeans; attracted by the fact that quality residential product is available just a few kilometres over the water from the Costa del Sol, but at a fraction of the price, with better weather and a lower cost of living. Capital appreciation is in double figures year-on-year and rental return is high as new hotel beds rush to keep apace with the rush of visitors. The stage is set for Morocco to become a stable, sophisticated holiday destination with property prices to suit and therefore it's best to participate earlier rather than later.

Location

The resort is only 10-minutes from the international airport and is within putting distance of the beautiful 27-hole Championship Palmeraie golf complex. The Palmeraie area is one of the most prestigious areas of Marrakech. Its an area of natural palm groves, large mansions, the famous Nikki Beach club and restaurant and of course golf and horse riding. It is in a stunning location between the majestic Atlas Mountains and the Sahara Desert and is near the bewitching charms of the ancient Medina. In the enchanting Djemaa el Fna market square, from late afternoon until sunset, people flock to hear storytellers and musicians perform alongside snake charmers and pulsating Gnaouan drums.

Morocco enjoys a Mediterranean climate. Inland, temperatures are high in the summer and sometimes in excess of 40deg C (104deg F) and cool in the winter. Winter is the best time to see the desert and most of the south, while in the summer, it is ideal to trek up and explore the High Atlas mountains.

Marrakech, which is painted in salmon pink and is known as the red city or Al Hamra, also has the largest traditional souk (market). Enjoy the array of fried fish, meats and salads on the colourful stalls and Moroccan delicacies, such as lamb or beef stew with couscous, washed down with mint tea.

Travelling around Marrakech is fun in the canopied horse-drawn carriages, called Caleches. Many locals cycle, as the city is flat and open. It's an exhilarating experience to ride to the Menara or Agdal gardens or out on the Casablanca road, to the Palmery oasis circuit and back.

In May or June each year, in the grounds of El Badi Palace, the Festival National des Arts Populaires de Marrakech is held. The folklore festival of Moroccan music, theatre and dance draws performers from all over Morocco.

The resort is designed to provide three distinctive styles, the 'Marrakchia', the 'Andaloussia' and the 'Cherkia'. Each design reflecting the principal design influences found in this beautiful and exciting part of Morocco.





Project Facilities

The El Oasis de Marrakech resort will have the following facilities:
  • Green Spaces - More than 30% of the resort will be green landscaped areas specific to each design style.
  • Pedestrian areas - The Resort will be connected by landscaped paths and walks.
  • Swimming pools - There will beautifully designed swimming pools for communal use.
  • Health Spa - The health Spa will have massage, sauna and wellness facilities.
  • Health and Medical center - An on-site medical and health centre for residents.
  • Shopping Centre - There will be a shopping centre and laundry facilities.

Reservation Process

There is a £1,000.00 fee for reservations.
  • Stage One - Decide which property(ies) you wish to purchase.
  • Stage Two - Fill in your reservation form and submit to Worldwide Frontiers with a certified copy of your passport, drivers licence and copies of 2 utility bills together with a payment of 6,500 euros.
  • Stage Three - Dreamworld will refer your reservation details to the UK solicitors within 30 days to commence the procedures for exchange of contracts.
  • Stage Four - You will sign the "Reservation Contract" and send it to the UK solicitor together with the exchange deposit (less the reservation fee).
  • Stage Five - On completion you will sign the final contract and pay the balance purchase monies of 75% either in cash or by mortgage lending.
