After a complete re-modelling process in terms of facilities, infrastructure and investment, Tangier is now one of the most modern cities in Africa.
It is a 10 minute drive from Tangier's new International Airport. The land is acknowledged as the King's land and therefore carries a no-fly zone, which ensures the serenity of the site. The new motorway toll road from Tangier to Rabat was finished at the end 2005 and has its own exit specifically for the development.
An increasing number of budget flights directly from the UK will also be in place by the completion of the development. All the major UK and Spanish airlines are developing flying capacities to cater for this emerging market. Proposed boats from Tarifa and Gibraltar will also service Morocco with a 35 minute journey time.
An agreement signed in January 2004 between Morocco and Spain will result in two tunnels of 39km linking Morocco to Spain and hence Europe. The part of the construction project located under the Mediterranean Sea and the Strait of Gibraltar is to start in 2008.
The site is exclusive and in a desirable location. This esteemed development is also surrounded by the King of Morocco's summer palace to the east. The Emir of Qatar has also heavily invested in the area with a new development to the west of this project.
